In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the popularity of composite fencing among homeowners in Leeds. This surge in demand is down to a number of reasons that has lead to composite fencing becoming an attractive alternative to traditional wooden fencing in many more gardens.
One of the most appealing features of composite fencing is its durability. Unlike wooden fencing, which is susceptible to rot, decay, and pest infestations. As a result composite fencing is virtually maintenance free and will not need to be replaced or treated as frequently as wooden fencing, saving you time and money in the long run.
Whilst there are mixed view on the environmental aspects of composite fencing those we use are produced using sustainable manufacturing practices by using recycled material, further reducing its environmental impact. So if you are eco-conscious choosing composite fencing is a responsible choice especially if you look at the lifetime savings for treating and replacing wooden fencing.
Composite fence panels provide superior strength and longevity compared to wooden fencing. With a high level of impact resistance, composite fencing is less likely to crack or break under pressure, making it a reliable choice for areas prone to high winds or heavy rainfall. Additionally, composite fencing is engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions, making it an ideal solution for the unpredictable climate in the UK and in particular Leeds. By choosing composite fencing, your fence will continue to perform well and look great for many years.
At Paving Leeds we focus on dealing with a couple of composite panel manufacturers which between them offer an entry level to composite fencing or a high end finish.
Our high end panels have a woodgrain effect and com in brown, grey and charcoal shades and with channel adapters can even be used with existing concrete posts which is one way to minimise your composite fence expenditure.
Composite screening is the composite alternative to what a timber trellis is to wooden fencing. Composite screen come in a variety of colours and styles and can really set of a fence. It is quite common with our composite fencing installations that a screen colour different to the fence panels is chosen and this really can make your fence a feature of landscaping your garden rather than simply providing a functional boundary between you and your neighbours garden.
The screen will last as long as your fence which again is a major advantage over traditional wooden trellises which are the part of a wooden fence that have a tendency to have the deteriorate fastest and therefore have the shortest lifespan before needing replacement.
The composite screens are compatible with our high end composite fence panels not the budget panels.
One of the biggest expenses of a new composite fence will be the fence posts. Typically composite fencing manufacturers provide bespoke fence posts for their composite fence panels. Most of the time these will be made from aluminium which results in a high cost for a single post. The eco range utilises a steel core with a composite wrap to provide a more cost effective option for their fence panels.
However, neither option is a cheap as concrete fence posts. As concrete fence posts will last as long as the composite panels many customer are happy with the cost compromise that new concrete posts will have over their composite alternative - especially aluminium posts.
The eco composite fencing range is designed to fit directly into the channel of a concrete posts where as the high end composite fencing is much narrower and requires a special channel to fit into the concrete post before the composite fence panels are then fitted into this channel. Car should be taken when fixing the channels in to the concrete not to blow the concrete by screwing it directly onto the concrete post.
The channels provide a nice tidy frame to the panels as they also come with matching top and bottom channels which can be seen in the photos above.
If you like what you see then taking this rout of using composite fencing in concrete posts is the way to significantly keep costs down.
